Ruobing Chen

I'm a product designer with a background in furniture and industrial design. Today I design tools that help people and agents work, communicate, and collaborate better.

Before this I designed subway-tiled shower surrounds for Kohler, improved the credit card experience for Citizens Bank, and made furniture inspired by Chinese philosophy. Some of it just whimsical.

How I work

I'm building with AI at a much higher rate now, which makes me want to be more mindful and intentional about the harder work: setting goals and intentions, identifying the right problem to solve, and clarifying the needs and perspectives of others as well as my own. I care about details, not just how things look. It's the small stuff that adds up to a smooth experience.
